Westminster Leadership
Westminster is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team.
Shelby Moon
Senior Pastor
Pastor Shelby was appointed to serve as Westminster's Senior Pastor in 2012. Prior to that, he served as Youth and Families Director of Kinsgstree Presbyterian Church in Kingstree, SC.
The attributes that best describe Pastor Shelby as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development and counseling. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Westminster where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Shelby takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.
He graduated from Columbia Biblical Seminary in 2009 with a Master of Divinity degree.
Pastor Shelby has been happily married for 17 Years to his wife, Colleen. They have ten Children: Isaac, Julia, Anderson, Elias, Silas, Charlotte, Joseph, Orianna, Penelope and Oakley.

Lester Cover
Ruling Elder
Les and his wife Bobbie were charter members of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Alamogordo, New Mexico at its inception in 1965. In the following years the uncertainties of long-term employment for Engineers resulted in several relocations with the resulting variety of church homes that those relocations necessitated. During those years the Covers were blessed with membership in several Reformed congregations including a Christian Reformed Church (CRC) in Albuquerque, two Orthodox Presbyterian Churches (OPC), one in San Jose and one Modesto California, and three PCA churches in New Mexico: Bryce Avenue PCA in Los Alamos, University PCA in Las Cruces, and again after retirement in 1993, at Westminster PCA in Alamogordo. Over the years Les has served on the Sessions of both Bryce Avenue PCA and Westminster PCA, and as a Deacon at The OPC church in Modesto. He has also served as the Stated Clerk of the Southwest Presbytery of the PCA.
